Job Description
North Reading Middle School is seeking a Math Teacher to start in the 2026-2027 school year. North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential. North Reading Public School Educators first contractual day is September 1, 2026. New educators are required to attend the two day new staff orientation on dates still to be determined. Essential duties Unit/lesson planning Direct instruction of students Assessment of student learning Be available to conference with parents and families as needed or requested Work closely with our team of educators in the Math Department to ensure pacing and learning expectations are maintained Other duties as requested by the Building Principal, Coordinator of STEM Education, and/or Designee Requirements Bachelor's Degree in a related field Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching license in Mathematics, grades 5-8 Strong interpersonal skills Collaborative working demeanor Excellent oral and written communication skills At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred Citizenship, residency, or work visa required Additional benefits for this work are outlined in the current North Reading Education Association (NREA) contract.
