5 FTE) / STEM Unified Arts Teacher (0.5 FTE)Tatham Elementary SchoolTatham School is seeking a collaborative, student-centered educator to serve in a dual role as a Math Interventionist (0.5 FTE) and STEM Unified Arts Teacher (0.5 FTE). The successful candidate will support students mathematical growth through targeted intervention services and provide engaging, standards-based STEM instruction during classroom teacher preparation periods. This position is ideal for an educator who values strong relationships, data-informed instruction, and hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences.
Responsibilities:
Math Interventionist (0.5 FTE)
  • Provide targeted small-group math intervention based on student performance data
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to address individual learning needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and MTSS teams to support student achievement
  • Implement evidence-based instructional strategies to strengthen foundational math skillsSTEM Unified Arts Teacher (0.5 FTE)
  • Provide consistent, high-quality STEM instruction during classroom teacher preparation periods
  • Facilitate hands-on, inquiry-based STEM lessons aligned with grade-level standards
  • Utilize high-quality instructional materials, including OpenSciEd, to support student learning
  • Foster curiosity, problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity in a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications:
  • Massachusetts DESE licensure (Elementary preferred)
  • Experience in mathematics instruction and/or intervention
  • Experience in science or STEM instruction, including familiarity with inquiry-based instructional practices
  • Understanding of MTSS and experience using data to inform instruction
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications
  • Experience providing elementary math intervention
  • Experience implementing OpenSciEd units or similar high-quality instructional materials
  • Ability to integrate STEM concepts across content areas
