Academy:
Escuela Avancemos! is a K-8 Academy located in the heart of Southwest Detroit. We are looking for educators who will inspire our students to succeed at the highest level by educating them with love, restorative principles, and rigorous learning expectations. We invest in our educators with collaborative professional development opportunities, individualized coaching plans, and opportunities for peer-to-peer learning. We are looking for:
Develop, administer, and/or facilitate assessments to determine student math levels. Create instructional math plans to match student ability and learning styles. Guide children through math activities to help them overcome obstacles. Assist Classroom Teachers in planning math programs and instruction. Maintain current and efficient records, including the preparation of reports and presentations. Assist Classroom Teachers in planning the mathematics program and elementary and/or middle school programs. Coordinate the developmental aspects of the elementary and/or middle school programs. Assist teachers with instructional interventions. Maintain current and efficient records, including the preparation of reports. Submit appropriate data and reports. Monitor student progress towards achieving instructional objectives and goals. Communicate effectively within the educational community and with parents on a regular basis. Other related duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
