HS Math Teacher

Summary of Duties DeWitt High School is seeking a highly qualified Secondary Math Teacher who will be teaching courses in a block schedule. Reports to DeWitt High School Principal Requirements/Job Duties A valid MI Teaching Certificate with the following endorsements: o Math (EX) for grades 6th - 12th o Additional secondary endorsements preferred Deep knowledge and understanding of the Common Core Standards and curriculum design The ability and enthusiasm to effectively engage students and help them own their learning Commitment to the success of ALL students and the ability to differentiate lessons for students Excellent teaching, organizational, planning, written and oral communication, creative and collaborative skills Dedication to providing a safe and respectful learning environment for students Expertise in utilizing technology in a transformative manner to support instruction Compensation Compensation will be paid in accordance with the DEA Master Agreement. Up to three years of verified public school teaching experience shall be credited for placement on the salary schedule.
