Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
In coordination with the classroom teacher, the Math Interventionist aides, monitors, and assists identified students through using Universal Screeners and Progress Monitoring to achieve Math skill goals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Works directly with a variety of identified at risk students under the direction of the classroom teacher(s) Works in the classroom, with individually identified or small groups of at-risk students. Monitor and track student process toward individual skill goals on district provided forms and share these with the classroom teacher. Aid in assisting students using Universal Screeners and Progress Monitoring tools such as i-Ready under the direction of the Math Specialist. Meets with the classroom teacher(s) periodically to discuss student progress toward their individual skill goals. Effectively and consistently communicate and interact with staff and students. Attend all mandatory staff meetings, events, or trainings at the discretion of the principal Other duties as assigned by the building Principal
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of computer use. Ability to move intermittently throughout the day with frequent standing, walking, or sitting. Ability to see, hear, and move adequately, or use prosthetics as necessary, to perform the essential duties of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Education & Experience:
Associate's degree, preferred. Experience working with young students and teachers is preferred.
Required Skills & Abilities:
High moral character, integrity, and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Hourly Position hired through EDUStaff, Mon-Thurs 8:15 AM-3:45 PM following the school calendar
