  • Mathematics Cristo Rey Research Triangle High School | Durham, NC | Full-Time, 10 Months Reports to: Principal Who We Are Cristo Rey Research Triangle High School is a 9-12 Catholic, Jesuit college preparatory school in Durham, NC, proudly serving students of all faiths.
As part of the nation's largest network supporting youth from families with limited economic resources, we combine rigorous academics with a unique Corporate Work Study Program that gives students real-world professional experience before they ever walk across a graduation stage. Classroom:
Deliver engaging, rigorous instruction in Math 2 and Calculus for a diverse student population; design and implement a college preparatory curriculum that builds quantitative reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical thinking; differentiate instruction to meet the needs of English language learners and students requiring academic support; use data to drive instructional decisions and monitor student progress; build a positive, accountable classroom culture rooted in high expectations and genuine care; communicate proactively with students, families, and colleagues about student progress. In the
School Community:
Collaborate with fellow STEM teachers and instructional leaders to align curriculum and share best practices; participate in professional development, instructional rounds, and coaching cycles with a growth mindset; contribute to a loving, joyful, and justice-oriented school culture rooted in the Jesuit mission; engage in school-wide events and initiatives that strengthen the CRRTHS community; grow into AP course instruction over time — we encourage it and will support you.
What We're Looking For Required:
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, STEM, or a related field — or equivalent secondary Mathematics teaching experience. We encourage all strong candidates to apply; deep commitment to the Cristo Rey mission and values: Faith and Justice, Respect and Care, Responsibility and Commitment; strong ability to design and deliver curricula that develop college-level mathematical thinking; ability to connect with culturally and linguistically diverse students and families; knowledge of best practices in secondary Mathematics education; collaborative spirit and a genuine growth mindset.
Preferred:
NC teaching licensure (or willingness to obtain); prior experience teaching underserved student populations; experience working with English language learners; conversational Spanish. Why CRRTHS?
