Description:
The K-5 Intervention Teacher is responsible for providing targeted instructional support to eligible students in reading and mathematics, as identified through assessment data and Title 1 program criteria. This position focuses on helping students achieve academic success by delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions and collaborating with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress.
Job Summary:
  • Plan and deliver targeted reading and math instruction to small groups of students or on a one-on-one basis.
  • Utilize data-driven instructional strategies and interventions to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support curriculum alignment and ensure instructional consistency.
  • Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments; maintain accurate records of student achievement.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and administrators regarding student progress and program effectiveness.
  • Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and staff meetings to support school-wide goals and initiatives.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and local Title 1 program requirements.
Qualifications:
    Required:
    • Valid New Hampshire Teaching Certification with appropriate endorsement(s) in Elementary Education or Reading/Math Specialist.
    • Proven experience in providing instructional interventions in reading and/or math.
    • Strong understanding of Title 1 regulations, guidelines, and compliance requirements.
    Preferred:
    • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and varying academic abilities.
    • Familiarity with evidence-based intervention programs and progress monitoring tools.
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
    Working Conditions:
    • Full-time position within Richards School, serving students in grades K-5.
    • Primarily works with students in small group or one-on-one settings, both within and outside the regular classroom environment.
    • Collaboration with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student growth and achievement.
    • Participation in school-wide initiatives and professional development activities.
