Full Job Description Acceleration Lab Instructor School:

Position Type:

Full-Time, Term 1 2026-2027 School Year, with the potential for full year agreement.

Position Summary:

The Acceleration Lab Instructor supports student success through a flexible, student-centered instructional model designed to accelerate credit attainment and support on-time graduation. This position provides individualized instruction, facilitates blended learning environments, and mentors students to ensure academic progress and engagement.

Essential Functions:

The Acceleration Lab Instructor will:

• Facilitate a blended, lab-based instructional environment utilizing computer-assisted and teacher-guided instruction
• Support students in credit recovery and accelerated coursework completion
• Monitor and track student academic progress using data-driven practices
• Develop and implement individualized learning plans based on student needs
• Provide targeted academic support in core content areas (including math and/or ELA as assigned)
• Establish clear learning objectives and communicate expectations to students
• Build positive relationships with students to promote motivation, accountability, and engagement
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff to ensure student success
• Maintain a classroom environment conducive to individualized and small-group learning
• Assist students with organization, time management, and goal setting
• Communicate regularly with students and families regarding academic progress

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress
• Comply with school policies, procedures, and state regulations
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning
• Support implementation of the school's instructional model and mission
• Supervise students in assigned areas and ensure a safe learning environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned by administration

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Valid New Mexico teaching license (or ability to obtain)
• Appropriate secondary endorsement (Math, ELA, or SPED related field preferred)
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with diverse student populations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with credit recovery or alternative education settings
• Experience with blended or online learning platforms
• Strong data analysis and progress monitoring skills
• Experience working with at-risk or non-traditional students
• Experience with Edgenuity is a plus Overview Gilbert L.
