Upper Grades Math Teacher Nevada Sage Waldorf School is seeking an experienced Math Teacher to join our school community for the 2026- 2027 school year. Responsibilities include teaching 5 periods per week of 6/7th Grade Math. In addition, instruct or co-instruct for 2.25 hours a day, 5 days a week, for one 3-week math block during the main lesson for Class 6/7. About the Math Position Exploration in numbers is an integral part of each school day throughout the grades experience. A multitude of math activities enliven morning lessons, subject classes, field trips and after school programs. Math classes, as such, are carefully designed to support the overall student's development, and it is important that the activities offered throughout the day are consistent. We provide a holistic approach to math education by promoting imagination, enlivened games and puzzle solving, and tangible experiences in math concepts to build and develop a child's thinking, feeling, and willing capacities. By building a strong foundation in arithmetic in the lower grades, upper grades students are able to explore a curriculum rich with experiential learning, creative problem solving and real-world application.
