The ideal candidate will inspire a love of mathematics while fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and academic confidence in students. This educator will create a positive classroom environment, build strong relationships with students and families, and collaborate with colleagues to support student success.for grades 5 through 8. Responsibilities Teach middle school mathematics courses, including grade-level math and Algebra. Develop lesson plans aligned with state standards and school curriculum. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Assess student progress and provide timely feedback. Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student performance. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress. Foster a classroom culture that promotes respect, responsibility, and academic growth. Collaborate with faculty and staff to support school initiatives and student success. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events. Utilize educational technology to enhance instruction and student engagement. Qualifications All teachers in the schools of the Diocese of Albany must have at least a bachelor's degree to qualify for full or part-time classroom responsibility for grades K-12. All teachers should have New York State Certification or be in the process of obtaining certification. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Experience teaching middle school students preferred.
Pay:
$35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
