School Year:
Start date September 8 Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The teacher will be responsible for teaching five 45 minute classes, have one prep period, and a lunch period. Average class size of 15-20 students. The Math teacher will be prepared to teach any combination of High School Math courses, including an AP course. Develops and administers Math education curriculum. Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning. Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning experiences to develop pertinent sequential assignments, challenge students, and best utilize the available time for instruction.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Secondary Mathematics Education, Mathematics required; Masters preferred
New York State Teaching Certification:
Mathematics 7-12 required Strong knowledge in the content area Experience teaching Middle and High School Mathematics Proven ability to manage a classroom while maintaining a positive learning environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
