Job Description

Overview:
The Center of Excellence (COE) and Total Performance Soccer are seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Teacher to join our COE NY academic team. This position will provide direct instruction and supplemental support for students enrolled in our partnering online platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching mathematics across middle and high school grades, with a commitment to fostering academic excellence and supporting student-athletes in their educational goals.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging and rigorous lesson plans aligned with state standards and our curriculum partner's guidelines for grades 6-12 in mathematics. Provide direct instruction and support to students in small group settings, focusing on personalized learning and academic growth. Collaborate with our curriculum partner's instructors and academic advisors to monitor student progress, identify learning gaps, and provide targeted interventions as needed. Utilize technology effectively to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement, leveraging our online platform and educational resources. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a passion for STEM disciplines. Participate in professional development opportunities and collaborate with COE academic staff to continuously improve instructional practices and curriculum alignment. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and partners regarding academic progress, performance expectations, and student support strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Current or enroute teaching certification/licensure in Math (grades 6-12). Proven experience teaching or student teaching math at the middle and high school levels, preferably in a blended or online learning environment. Familiarity with educational technology and proficiency in integrating digital tools into instructional practices. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working within a team environment. Commitment to the academic success and holistic development of student-athletes. Passion for innovative teaching methods and continuous professional growth in the field of education.
