Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Teacher to inspire and educate students across a diverse range of subjects. Duties Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across multiple subjects, including math, science, language arts, and physical education Deliver engaging instruction that caters to varied learning styles, utilizing innovative learning technology and teaching methods Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support improvement Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment conducive to learning Mentor and support students academically and socially, fostering their confidence and motivation Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, extracurricular activities, and school-wide initiatives such as sports coaching and library services Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and upcoming events Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications preferred Proven classroom experience working with high school students in diverse educational settings Strong knowledge of core subjects including Math (Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Trigonometry), Science, English (including Creative Writing), and Social Studies Familiarity with curriculum development standards such as AP style and Chicago Manual of Style for writing assignments Excellent communication skills—public speaking, tutoring, and academic advising experience are highly valued Ability to utilize learning technology effectively to enhance instruction and student engagement Experience in classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Knowledge of special education needs, childhood development principles, Montessori methods or other educational philosophies is a plus Demonstrated ability to work with children of varying abilities while maintaining high standards of literacy education and academic achievement Passion for mentoring students through extracurricular activities like sports coaching or leadership programs Join us in shaping young minds by delivering inspiring lessons that ignite curiosity and foster lifelong learning.
