Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified part-time high school math teacher to teach Algebra 1 at our school in Long Island, New York. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging and effective lessons that promote student learning and success.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Algebra 1. Create and implement assessments to evaluate student learning and progress. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their work. Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues about student progress and achievement. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and assignments. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning and success. Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field. New York State teaching certification in mathematics. Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably at the high school level. Strong content knowledge and understanding of Algebra 1 curriculum and standards. Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans that promote student learning and success.
