Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic High School Math Teacher to inspire and educate students in a vibrant academic environment. In this role, you will deliver engaging lessons across various math disciplines, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and discrete math. Your enthusiasm for mathematics and dedication to student success will foster a positive learning atmosphere, encouraging students to develop critical thinking skills and a love for learning. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that cover topics such as algebra, geometry, calculus, and trigonometry. Utilize modern learning technologies and instructional design techniques to create interactive and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles. Assess student progress through standardized testing, quizzes, projects, and classroom participation; provide timely feedback to support continuous improvement. Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a respectful, inclusive, and productive learning environment. Mentor students individually or in small groups, offering tutoring and academic advising to help them achieve their goals. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and school-wide initiatives focused on educational excellence. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral notes while adhering to school policies and educational standards. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; higher education teaching experience is preferred. Proven classroom experience with high school students in diverse educational settings; private school experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of mathematics subjects including algebra, geometry, calculus, differential equations, discrete math, trigonometry, molecular biology (if applicable), genetics, microbiology (if applicable), biochemistry (if applicable), organic chemistry (if applicable), cell biology (if applicable), research laboratory experience (if applicable). Demonstrated skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management strategies. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administration. Familiarity with educational technology tools and online learning platforms; experience with instructional design is advantageous. Ability to prepare students for standardized testing while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Experience working with students requiring special education accommodations or behavior support is desirable. Commitment to ongoing professional development through research activities or participation in library services related to education. Pay:
$63,035.00 - $81,282.00 per year
