CTC JOB SUMMARY
The successful applicant will teach the math curriculum for our 10th-12th grade students at the main campus of Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO
  • A current Ohio high school math teaching license or certificate including grades 9-12.
  • The ability to teach the math curriculum with an interdisciplinary focus while also integrating innovative learning strategies and working with a diverse student population.
  • The ability to take basic and theoretical math concepts and apply them in occupational situations.
  • A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment. Must pass a BCI and Local
  • FBI background check.
  • Comply with drug-free workplace rules, board policies, and documented evidence of a clear criminal record.
  • Meet all mandated health requirements.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are representative of performance expectations. A reasonable accommodation may be made to enable a qualified individual with a disability to perform essential functions. Develop, plan and successfully deliver math curriculum for 10th-12th grade students using the approved course of study. Design and administer appropriate assessments to monitor student learning. Create learning opportunities using diverse instruction techniques. Develop and maintain a safe, positive learning environment that engages students. Individualize instruction and work with students with a variety of needs and abilities. Evaluate student performance and consult with parents/guardians as needed. Implements effective student management procedures. Maintains standards and upholds student code of conduct. Collaborate with staff and administration at Springfield-Clark CTC. Maintain complete and accurate records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation. Actively assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulation and Board Policy and goals. Attend district and state professional development events. Maintain an acceptable attendance record and be punctual. Perform other specific-job related duties as directed.
SALARY & CONTRACT
Placement on the Springfield-Clark CTC Certified Salary Schedule and Benefits Package, starting salary $49,443
  • $87,430 based upon education and experience.
Contract consists of 183 days currently per school year.
