The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and inspiring students to achieve their academic goals. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and providing support through tutoring and mentoring. The High School Teacher will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experiences of students, preparing them for standardized testing, and guiding them in their academic journeys. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Educate students in various subjects, with an emphasis on Geometry and other core academic areas. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a conducive learning environment. Provide tutoring and mentoring support to students who require additional assistance. Engage in sports coaching or extracurricular activities to promote student involvement and teamwork. Conduct academic advising sessions to help students set educational goals and plan for their futures. Prepare students for standardized testing through targeted instruction and practice assessments. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices in teaching methodologies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred. Experience in tutoring, mentoring, or coaching is highly desirable. Strong skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and educational assessment. Familiarity with Montessori methods is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. A passion for education and a commitment to student success.
