Job Description
Secondary Math Teacher ASTEC Charter Schools is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Secondary Math Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year. Position Overview The ideal candidate is a professional, organized educator with strong classroom management skills, a solid command of instructional technology, and a passion for teaching mathematics. This individual will be responsible for delivering engaging, standards-aligned instruction while fostering a positive and productive learning environment. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality math instruction aligned with state standards Develop and implement effective lesson plans and instructional materials Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff Maintain a structured and engaging classroom environment Collaborate with faculty and administration to support student achievement Evaluate and improve instructional strategies and curriculum materials Apply modern educational theory and best practices Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain) Classroom management experience preferred Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners Team-oriented mindset and commitment to professional growth Job Details Contract length: 187 working days Competitive salary based on experience and education Includes school holidays, weekends, and scheduled breaks Supportive and collaborative work environment
