Candidates should be able to teach a variety of math classes, ranging from introductory Algebra up through Calculus. Broader interest in STEM fields like coding, engineering, and robotics a plus! We are looking for a reflective candidate who is passionate about teaching and who enjoys working in an environment that promotes continuing professional learning.
Desired skills and experience include:
A degree in math or related field, or a degree in education with coursework in STEM, or experience teaching high school math. Ability to connect with students and convey enthusiasm for content and skills of courses. Ability to support student development as analytical thinkers and researchers. Ability to break down and scaffold content of math courses to maximize student learning. Classroom management and organizational skills. Ability to differentiate content for students with a variety of strengths and skill levels. Comfort with educational technology, including computers and learning management systems, for example Google Classroom. Past teaching experience and certifications in Pennsylvania for math are ideal but not required. The position begins August 15, 2026 and is full time.
