St. Edmund's Academy Upper School Math Specialist St. Edmund's Academy seeks a dedicated and dynamic teacher with a minimum of 3 years of experience and strong content knowledge in high school math for an Upper School Math Specialist position. The Upper School Math Specialist works collaboratively with other math teachers and Learning Specialists to support all fifth through eighth grade students' success in the math program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, using the school's core curricula, responding to students' individual learning and developmental needs, communicating collaboratively with parents, completing non-instructional duties, serving as an Advisor, and supporting community initiatives. The Upper School Math Specialist will be responsible for implementing the curriculum with joy and creativity and in collaboration with the Director of Upper School to ensure alignment of the school's philosophy and practices. Candidates must have an outstanding record teaching middle school-aged students. The ability to be collaborative, detail-oriented and innovative is essential. Excellent writing skills and strong verbal communication are expected. The candidate must model and champion the school's core values including an overt commitment to inclusion and belonging for all members of the school's diverse community. Teachers with deep mathematical content knowledge and are dedicated to meeting the academic and developmental needs of the students and collaborating with colleagues and parents should apply. A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
