Job Description

Teachers at Cross Schools will inspire students spiritually, and academically. They will be committed to delivering high-quality instruction while integrating Biblical principles into the curriculum. The teacher will foster a learning environment that promotes spiritual growth, academic excellence, and character development in alignment with Cross Schools' mission to develop the whole student. Position Overview This position includes teaching middle and upper school mathematics courses, contributing to a collaborative faculty culture, and investing in the life of the school community. Primary Responsibilities Teach middle and upper school mathematics courses (potentially including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, or other advanced coursework based on experience) Design and implement engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans Use a variety of instructional strategies to support diverse learners Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback Maintain consistent communication with students and families Create a classroom environment that supports both academic growth and character formation Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events Serve as an advisor, mentor, or club sponsor as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, Mathematics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) Valid state teaching certification or licensure (preferred) Experience teaching mathematics at middle school or upper school level Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents/guardians Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
