Professional Teachers Position Summary:

Boone County Schools is seeking a dedicated and student-centered 2nd/3rd Grade Interventionist to support academic achievement in both reading and mathematics. This position will serve students by providing targeted, small-group instruction and interventions designed to meet individual learning needs and improve overall student performance.

Qualifications:

Must hold a valid West Virginia Elementary Teaching Certification Strong knowledge of elementary reading and mathematics instruction Ability to analyze student data and implement effective intervention strategies Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers and school staff

Responsibilities:

Split instructional time between one 2nd grade classroom and one 3rd grade classroom Provide small-group intervention support in reading and mathematics Use assessment data to identify student needs and monitor progress Collaborate with classroom teachers to align interventions with core instruction Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions Participate in school-based meetings, including team meetings and professional development Support a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students

Supervision:

The 2nd/3rd Grade Interventionist will report directly to the School Principal.
