Gateway Academy is seeking a dynamic and engaging Upper Level Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at our Maryland Farms campus in Brentwood, TN. Gateway Academy is a small private school that values mastery, creativity, and connection. Our teaching philosophy centers around meeting students where they are and tailoring instruction to each student's unique learning needs. Most instruction is provided in a one-on-one setting, with some small group sessions. This position may include teaching courses such as Algebra, Integrated Math, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus, depending on experience and student needs. Our teachers are given flexibility in scheduling and autonomy in their classrooms, allowing them to create engaging and individualized learning experiences for students. Position Details Part-time position with potential to grow into full-time Flexible scheduling options School hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-3:30 PM Located in Maryland Farms in Brentwood, TN Unique 1:1 teacher-to-student instructional model Qualifications Bachelor's degree required (Mathematics, Education, or related field preferred) Previous teaching and/or tutoring experience preferred Experience working with middle and/or high school students Strong communication and organizational skills Passion for teaching and inspiring students Willingness to maintain professional conduct, communication, and dress Must be willing to complete an interview and background check Interested?
