Job Description

Overview Join a dynamic private Christian high school community as a High School Math Teacher dedicated to inspiring students and fostering a love for mathematics. In this role, you will deliver engaging, faith-based instruction across a variety of math disciplines, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. You will support students' academic growth through lesson planning, effective classroom management, and personalized mentoring. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives while upholding the school's Christian values and academic excellence. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and Christian principles. Teach a range of math courses such as algebra, geometry, and trigonometry with clarity and enthusiasm. Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, tests and project-based evaluations; provide constructive feedback. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a respectful, disciplined learning environment conducive to academic achievement. Mentor students academically and spiritually, offering guidance through academic advising and personal support. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and school activities to promote a cohesive educational experience. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field Prefer classroom experience in high school setting Skilled in lesson planning, instructional design, curriculum development, and assessment strategies, is preferred Strong communication skills for effective teaching, mentoring, parent engagement, and collaboration with staff. Knowledge of learning technology tools and digital resources to support instruction. Ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering an environment of respect and spiritual growth.
