Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated TN licensed High School Mathematics Teacher who upholds Christian values and a commitment to faith to inspire and educate students in a dynamic learning environment. This role involves delivering engaging lessons that foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and a love for mathematics. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various mathematical disciplines, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and discrete math, while also demonstrating excellent classroom management and communication skills. As a vital member of our educational team, you will support students' academic growth and prepare them for future success through innovative instructional strategies and personalized mentorship. Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that cover topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and discrete math Utilize learning technology tools to enhance student engagement and understanding of complex mathematical concepts Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, standardized assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support improvement Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to active participation Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional design to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching practices Offer tutoring sessions and academic advising to help students overcome challenges and excel academically Incorporate scientific research methods when applicable to enrich lessons on biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, or other interdisciplinary topics Extensive knowledge of mathematics subjects, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, differential equations, discrete math, and proofing techniques Strong understanding of science disciplines such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, microbiology, molecular biology, genetics, and research laboratory experience Experience in curriculum development tailored for high school learners with diverse needs; familiarity with special education strategies is a plus Proficiency in classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to foster a respectful learning environment Skilled in using educational technology tools for instruction and assessment purposes Excellent communication skills for effective instruction, mentoring students, and collaborating with staff and parents Background in higher education teaching or instructional design is advantageous; experience working with standardized testing environments is preferred Ability to adapt lesson plans for private school settings or Montessori methodologies, if applicable Join us in shaping the future by empowering students through engaging mathematics education! Pay:
$47,500.79 - $57,205.26 per year
