Immediately Job Description Norris Middle School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered educator to serve as an Interim 8th Grade Math Teacher through approximately October 2026. The ideal candidate will possess strong instructional skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to supporting student growth and achievement in mathematics. Position Responsibilities Provide daily instruction in 8th grade mathematics aligned to Tennessee academic standards Develop engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and student participation Utilize student data to monitor progress and guide instruction Maintain a structured, positive, and supportive classroom environment Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff Collaborate with grade-level and content-area teams to support instructional goals Perform additional duties as assigned by administration Qualifications Valid Tennessee teaching license with appropriate endorsement preferred Candidates enrolled in an approved educator preparation program may also be considered Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to build positive relationships with middle school students Knowledge of standards-based instruction and assessment practices preferred Position Details
