Job Description
The Math Camp Facilitators will be trained to work with incoming 4th through 7th grade students in a classroom setting. The facilitators will have the responsibility of teaching lessons while supervising and engaging students. All facilitators will be trained to address the needs of diverse learners and the established learning outcomes for the math camp. The facilitators are expected to be positive role models for students by displaying good decision-making and problem-solving skills, and they also need to have a dedicated work ethic. 1) Paid training (6/1/26

4:30pm) Modifications for week 2 of camp: UVU closed 6/15/26 The Math Camp Facilitators will also be responsible for presenting information to students and helping them to complete group and individual projects during scheduled class times and during assemblies.
The Math Camp Facilitators should be enthusiastic about mathematics, and they should be able to help students develop an appreciation for math and see how it can be used in their daily lives. Must be a current UVU student Attended full-time at UVU Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 Completed either "
MAT 2010
Math for Elementary Teachers I" or one completed MATH series (such as Abstract Algebra, Analysis, etc.
) with at least a B+ average CV and Cover letter (that explains your interest in this position) Unofficial transcripts (you can take a photo of your online transcripts as well) Attach your Summer Class Schedule when applying Preferred Qualifications Elementary, Special Ed, or Math Ed Major Physical Requirements Must be able to be active with students inside and outside during camp Ability to manage a classroom of 4 th through 7 th grade students Ability to clearly communicate content material and expectations to students Ability to effectively tutor 4 th through 7 th grade students Ability to use initiative, demonstrate dependability, and use time constructively Display interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals Display enthusiasm for mathematics
