Aug 31, 2026 Job Description Green Mountain Union Middle/High School will have an opening in the 2026-2027 School Year for a Math Teacher. We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and dedicated professional. The successful individual will have the ability to help each student develop competence in basic mathematical skills and an understanding of the structure of mathematics; to motivate each student to apply mathematical understanding and skills in the solution of practical problems; to encourage students to develop their special talents in the field of mathematics. Deep knowledge and understanding of proficiency based teaching and learning Demonstrated knowledge of classroom management and instructional skills The use of differentiated instruction to support all students The use of formative assessment to provide student feedback and to adjust lesson delivery The use of technology to transform teaching and learning The use of the trauma informed practices approach to establish a safe and caring classroom community Dedication to providing a safe and respectful learning environment for students Excellent teaching, organizational, planning, written and oral communication, and collaboration skills Commitment to the success of all students, and ability to understand and teach to the various needs of our students The ability to effectively engage students Commitment to continuous improvement in the areas of knowledge and professional practice.
