Job Description

Vergennes Union High School is seeking a high school Mathematics educator for a full-time opening in the high school mathematics department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
>/b> Deep understanding of the CCSS in math and the standards for mathematical practice. Understanding and proven application of Proficiency-Based Learning Demonstrable understanding of formative assessment and differentiation Ability to positively contribute to an environment that responds to students academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and physical needs Experience collaborating with department colleagues, special educators and cross-disciplinary teachers on curriculum, instruction, and assessment Experience and a desire to implement and develop interdisciplinary learning opportunities Experience communicating and partnering closely with families regarding student progress and supports Effective integration of 21st-century skills into the learning environment
