Williston Central School (WCS) is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Math Interventionist (0.60-0.80 FTE, One-Year, 2026-2027, MLL Focus) starting FY27. This is a grant-funded 0.60-0.80 FTE opening specifically designed for an educator who is passionate about providing targeted math support for our Multilingual Learners (MLL) in Grades 3-8. We are looking for a professional who can motivate students to close gaps in math concepts while ensuring a safe and inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will help students discover the joy of mathematical problem-solving through both small-group instruction and classroom-based support. Primary Responsibilities Develop and implement small group instruction based on grade-level curriculum units and specific gaps in math skills or concepts. Provide direct support within math classrooms to ensure MLL students have equitable access to core instruction. Engage in ongoing collaboration with math teachers, MLL educators, and CVSD Math Learning Facilitators to develop effective instructional systems. Collect, interpret, and use student data to drive instruction and monitor progress toward Common Core standards. Foster a positive learning environment through strong organization and initiative to support a wide variety of learners. The Ideal Candidate Will Possess Current Vermont Licensure in Mathematics or Elementary Education. Deep knowledge of Common Core math standards, math practice standards, and learning progressions. A strong interest or background in best practices for supporting Multilingual Learners. Proven expertise in building strong student relationships and collaborating across diverse faculty teams. The ability to be self-directed and flexible in a dynamic school environment.
