Faculty (College of Arts & Sciences - Mathematics) Faulkner University - 4.4 Montgomery, AL Job Details Full-time 6 hours ago Qualifications Master's degree Math Student-centered approaches (student motivation techniques) Full Job Description Faculty (College of Arts & Sciences - Mathematics) Montgomery, AL, USA Full Time The College of Arts and Sciences is seeking a highly qualified and experienced candidate to serve as Assistant Professor of Mathematics. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching foundational mathematic courses (12 hours per semester) and monitoring student progress. Additionally, the instructor will collaborate with other math faculty to conduct research, design, and oversee the implementation of foundational mathematics curricula and practices, considering national practices and institutional data. The selected candidate must fully support Faulkner University's mission to educate the whole person, glorify God in their work and life, and have a teaching philosophy that reflects a Christian worldview. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ. This is a full-time, 9-month position. Faculty rank, tenure status, and salary will be commensurate with academic qualifications and teaching experience. Summer teaching opportunities may also be available.
Summary of Duties:
Employ effective, student-centered, instructional strategies in on-ground formats Collaborate with faculty and staff to maximize learning support efforts for students
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Mathematics or Math Education with at least 18 graduate hours in mathematics required; Doctorate degree preferred College-level on-ground and online teaching experience preferred Experience with curriculum development, assessment, or program improvement preferred Active member of the church of Christ For initial application submit: Curriculum Vitae Cover letter Employment is conditional upon a satisfactory background check and verification of work authorization through E-Verify.
