Job Description

Job Summary:
Responsible for conducting research in health studies and medicine and teaching courses such as Healthcare Research and Statistics, Biostatistics, and others. Participate in curriculum development, mentor and/or advise students, and coordinate the courses assigned. Participate in committee and faculty activities/meetings and perform other duties as needed.
Education and Experience:
Doctorate degree (Ph.D. or Dr.

PH), or equivalent, in Epidemiology, Health Biostatistics, plus two years of work, research or teaching experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of current technology and educational media used in teaching and presentations. Able to effectively communicate changes and instructions in a professional, effective and positive manner. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position as well as Canvas and Banner. Able to communicate effectively on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.

Professional certification, licensure or registration as appropriate.
