One month Position Number SS102A Requirements and Preferences Position required to work during periods of adverse weather or other emergencies No Minimum Experience/Education Master's Degree with 18 credit hours in Mathematics from a 4-year accredited university or college Normal Work Schedule Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm Department Required Skills A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching excellence and mentoring, interdisciplinary teaching as well as engagement with and service to the broader public. Applicants must have a M.S. in Mathematics. Candidates must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to a liberal arts education in a diverse educational community. Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education Ph.D. in Mathematics from a 4-year accredited institution. Knowledge of the use of technology in teaching Mathematics. One to five years of college teaching experience at a culturally diverse liberal arts institution. Evidence of successful teaching of college Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus and Statistics or equivalent preferred. Participate in curriculum review and evaluation, advise students, serve on department committees.
