Position Summary TheDepartment of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of New Mexico seeksa Research Asst Professor with research experience in atopic within C•-algebras, such as K-theory or semiprojectivity, that isconnected to current research in topological physics.
Qualifications RequiredQualifications:
A PhD in mathematics or a related field by the start date. Proven record of discovery in mathematics. A research record in C•-algebras.
PreferredQualifications:
Experience using Python or Matlab. Experience in physics or mathematical physics research. A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities.
