FullTime Faculty Scientist Positions Institute of Perioperative Medicine Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine McGovern Medical School The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston The Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine and the Institute of Perioperative Medicine (IPM) at McGovern Medical School invite applications for non/tenure-track Associate Professor positions focused on research. We are particularly interested in applicants with a strong record of independent funding and a passion for leading translational research programs in perioperative medicine and critical care, including acute lung injury, myocardial or hepatic ischemia, acute kidney injury, intestinal inflammation, and neurocognitive dysfunction. Qualified individuals should have an MD or PhD degree, active and sustained extramural funding, and a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant research experience beyond their terminal degree. Candidates should also demonstrate a track record of high-impact publications, mentorship of trainees, and the ability to establish and lead independent research initiatives. Responsibilities include developing extramural funding and actively participating in research activities of IPM. McGovern Medical School is a part of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) and is located within the Texas Medical Center, which also includes Baylor College of Medicine, Rice University, and MD Anderson Cancer Center.
