Job Description

PLEASE NOTE
: Applications sent without a statement of faith will NOT be considered. Candidates must be able to get a letter of recommendation from their current pastor. Candidates must currently live within 30 miles of Chandler, AZ. This is not a teaching job. It is a calling. Our Academy is a small, private Christian school focused on excellent academics, intentional discipleship and character development. Who a student is as a person is just as important as their math score and their math score is just as important as their personal relationship with Jesus. We walk alongside students in grades 6-12 the way Jesus walked with His disciples on the Emmaus Road — not from a distance, but close, in real life, day after day. We are looking for a Mentor/Guide who is already living the kind of life they will be calling students into. What a Guide Does You will spend your days in a self-directed, mixed-grade classroom of middle and high school students. You are not primarily a lecturer. You are a shepherd of learning and a discipler of character. On any given day you will be: Walking alongside students through self-paced academic work (Bible, math, writing, history, science). Having real conversations about what they are reading and what they believe. Tracking academic progress and holding students accountable to daily goals. Recognizing when a student's real problem isn't academic — and responding as someone who has walked through hard things themselves. Leading and modeling what it looks like to be a person of faith, initiative, and integrity What We Are Looking For We will train the right person on our academic systems and curriculum. We cannot train what matters most. Before anything else, the right candidate: Is an active, committed follower of Jesus Christ — not on paper, but in the way they actually live. We have a lifestyle agreement all staff sign and agree to follow. Attends a Bible-teaching, Spirit-filled church and is involved/serving in that church, not just attendance. Our Academy is Spirit-filled and believes in the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:8-10) Can get a letter of recommendation from their current Pastor. Has a track record of discipling others — students, youth, mentees — in a real and ongoing way. Can speak honestly from their own walk with God, including the hard parts. Models the character qualities we are developing in students: integrity, initiative, perseverance, humility, and faith . Experience working with middle or high school students in any capacity. Background in Christian education, youth ministry, counseling, or mentorship. Ability to manage academic tracking and self-paced learning systems Who We Are Our K-12th private Christian school is a ministry of our church. Our academy was founded in 2014. We are small by design — no more than approximately 75 students, K-12. Our goal is not to produce high test scores. Our goal is to graduate students who know God, know how to think, and know who they are in Christ. Academic excellence is the fruit of that formation, not the substitute for it.

All staff are employed through the church and must be active members of a Bible-teaching church. What This Role Offers A deeply purposeful environment where your faith is not a side note — it is your job. Direct investment in young people during the most formative years of their lives. A close-knit team built around shared conviction, not just shared employment. The opportunity to leave something that lasts. We offer the following benefits to full-time staff: health, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays and an amazing environment. How to Apply Submit your resume and one page statement of faith. Applications submitted without a statement of faith, candidates not currently living within 30 miles of Chandler, AZ, will not be considered.
