Job Description

Job Description We are seeking a caring and dedicated Aftercare Teacher to supervise and engage with students during after-school hours in a safe, nurturing, and structured environment. The ideal candidate will provide meaningful activities, help with homework, and foster positive relationships while ensuring student safety and development. Responsibilities also include preparing and serving snacks to students. Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety of all students in the aftercare program. Organize and implement age-appropriate activities, including crafts, games, outdoor play, and creative projects. Prepare, distribute, and monitor snacks for students, ensuring dietary needs and allergies are considered. Assist students with homework or academic assignments as needed. Encourage social-emotional development and positive behavior through guidance and reinforcement. Maintain open and professional communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and any concerns. Collaborate with colleagues and school staff to create a cohesive aftercare program. Uphold school policies, including discipline, safety protocols, and program schedules. Set up and clean up the aftercare space daily, maintaining a clean and organized environment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, or related field preferred). Experience working with children, such as in a classroom, camp, daycare, or after-school program. Ability to prepare and manage snacks responsibly, with attention to dietary restrictions. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with students and families. Ability to manage groups of children and resolve conflicts constructively. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it (preferred). Enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable attitude.
Work Hours Weekdays:
