This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster academic growth, develop engaging lesson plans, and support students' social-emotional development. As a Jr. High Teacher, you will create a dynamic classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning. Your expertise will help students excel across various subjects while nurturing their individual talents and interests. Duties Utilize innovative learning technology to enhance student engagement and understanding Assess student progress Provide personalized tutoring and academic advising to support diverse learning needs Manage classroom behavior with effective behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment Mentor students in extracurricular activities to promote well-rounded development Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school events, and educational initiatives Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and classroom activities Skills Strong knowledge of Jr. High core subjects Excellent communication skills for public speaking, classroom instruction, and parent interactions Proficiency in proofreading, copy editing and record keeping Experience with groups of Jr. High age students Skilled in classroom management techniques to foster respectful and productive environments Ability to mentor students academically and socially while supporting their emotional well-being Certification, credential, degree, and/or appropriate level of education for age range Join us in shaping the future by empowering young minds!
