Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated School Age Teacher to join our team. Our ideal candidate can create a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for young school age children, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development through structured activities and positive guidance. This position is available as either full-time or part-time. Full-time hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Candidates must be willing to assist with staff breaks and lunches during school hours and meet all licensing requirements, including completion of 12 ECE units (with infant/toddler coursework). Part-time hours are 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM during the school year, with the opportunity to work full-time during school breaks.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, including homework support, enrichment projects, and recreational play Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all students Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom space Follow all licensing regulations and program policies
Qualifications:
High school diploma or
GED 12 ECE
Units Mandated Reporter Training Up to date Vaccinations (TB, MMR, T-Dap) Background Clearance Experience working with school-age children in a classroom or childcare setting Strong communication and classroom management skills Ability to work collaboratively with a team CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
