• Part-time, Full-time Frontiers Academy is a trilingual immersion advanced academic private school for preschool through eighth grade.

We offer language immersion education in English, Mandarin, and Spanish. As the main goal of the school is to educate our world leaders, we are constantly looking for the best and brightest to help shape our young minds. We are currently accepting applications for a part-time Middle School English teacher. You will be responsible for instructing English Language Arts. Applicants must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree. It is preferred that candidates have a Master's degree in related field or a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Responsible for teaching English language and literature to Grade 6 and 7 students using an inquiry model; 2. Ensures the curriculum is implemented in a way that maximizes student learning and embraces the school's philosophy of learning; 3. Uses instructional practices that fosters learning for all students; 4. Keep parents informed of student progress and achievement; 5. Ensures that assessment data is used to inform instructional decisions; 6. Be actively involved in school development; 7. Participation in school co-curricular activities, events, professional development meetings, etc.; 8. Actively participate in Frontier Academy's middle school advisory program; 9. Work with his/her middle school Team, planning closely, attending collaborative planning sessions and co-teaching where appropriate; 10. Ensure student safety by performing supervisory duties at selected breaks and lunchtimes; 11. Other duties, as assigned by the School. Qualifications & Requirements Ÿ Minimum of a bachelor's degree is required Ÿ Fully qualified teacher status preferred Ÿ A strong knowledge of differentiation strategies Ÿ Successful experience as an English Language and Literature Ÿ English as mother tongue Ÿ Open-minded, enthusiastic, and demonstrates a willingness to embrace a unique, multicultural school culture Ÿ Must have an interest in working in an immersion program and at school that strongly supports and embraces language and culture
