Afterschool Teacher

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Afterschool Teacher to join our team. We are looking for a passionate educator who can inspire and engage students in learning Chinese Mandarin after school hours. Duties Develop and implement engaging Chinese/Math lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning ages and styles. Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting a respectful and productive learning environment. Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their development. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to enhance the educational experience of students. Support students with special needs by adapting teaching methods and materials accordingly. Utilize first aid knowledge as necessary to ensure student safety and well-being. Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in a classroom or after-school setting, preferably in Chinese language instruction. Demonstrated ability to plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and enrichment activities. Strong classroom management skills to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere. Background in education or related fields is preferred. Experience in special education, behavior management, or tutoring is highly valued. Familiarity with childhood development principles and techniques for engaging students effectively. Skills in extracurricular activities are a plus.
