After School STEM Instructor

Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated After School STEM Instructors to join our educational team. Duties Lead hands-on STEM activities and experiments tailored to various age groups Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning environment through effective behavior management techniques Develop lesson plans that align with educational standards and promote critical thinking Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring safety and engagement at all times Collaborate with parents, teachers, and staff to support student progress and address individual needs Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment Incorporate elements of special education or accommodations as needed to support diverse learners Implement safety protocols including basic first aid when necessary Foster a love of learning by integrating fun, creative approaches such as theater or sports coaching elements when appropriate Qualifications Prior experience with children in settings such as daycare, camp counseling, tutoring, or babysitting is highly desirable Strong classroom management skills and experience with behavior management strategies Background in early childhood education or childhood development preferred Experience working with students with special needs or in inclusive classrooms is a plus Knowledge of first aid procedures and certification is advantageous Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage children through interactive teaching methods Passion for STEM education and inspiring young learners to explore science and technology topics Experience in theater, sports coaching, Christian counseling, or childcare can enhance the ability to create dynamic learning experiences Join our team to make a meaningful impact on children's educational journeys while developing your skills in a supportive environment.
