Part-Time STEM Instructor (After School) - Fresno, CA | LEGO & Hands-On Learning IntelliBricks - 4.3 Fresno, CA Job Details Part-time $19 - $21 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Paid training Fuel reimbursement Qualifications Behavior management Driver's License Working with children Driving Classroom experience Child supervision Full Job Description About IntelliBricks IntelliBricks is a Sacramento-based STEM enrichment provider offering hands-on, project-based learning programs such as LEGO® Robotics, Scratch Coding, Stop-Motion Animation, Digital Drawing, Drone Operations, STEM in the Kitchen, and Applied Science Labs. Founded in 2013, IntelliBricks currently operates across 60+ schools and community sites and is expanding into the Visalia and Fresno Unified School Districts. We are looking for enthusiastic, dependable instructors to join our 2026-2027 afterschool teaching team. Programs You'll Teach Instructors lead engaging, hands-on STEM programs such as: LEGO® Robotics LEGO® Stop Motion Animation Scratch Coding & Game Design Drone Discovery Lab Applied Science Labs (hands-on experiments) STEM in the Kitchen (introductory cooking-based STEM) Digital Drawing & Design Schedule & Availability Program runs from August 15 through May (approx. 180 school days) Classes are held Monday-Friday during after-school hours (approx. 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm) Instructors typically work 4 days per week 4-5 hour shifts per day Onboarding begins in July, with paid training starting August 1 Reliability and consistency throughout the school year are essential Desired Qualifications Passion for STEM subjects such as LEGO® Robotics, coding, drones, science experiments, Cooking or creative programs Experience working with children ages 5-14 (1+ year preferred) Strong classroom or group management skills (10-20 students) Energetic, patient, and engaging personality Reliable, punctual, and professional Preferred backgrounds: Education, Engineering, Computer Science, Science, Art, or related fields Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply (Spanish and other community languages are a plus) Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (instructors will travel to school sites within the Visalia area) Proof of automobile insurance upon hiring Must meet
NCLB/ESSA
qualification requirements (48 college credits) Must successfully pass a background check (paid by IntelliBricks) Must complete Livescan fingerprinting, TB test, and CPR certification (costs reimbursed after 6 months of employment) Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (classroom materials, LEGO kits, equipment) Responsibilities Lead afterschool classes using IntelliBricks curriculum and lesson plans Guide students in hands-on STEM activities (LEGO builds, coding, drones, art, science, etc.) Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment Take attendance and ensure safe student sign-in/sign-out Set up and clean up classroom materials Transport and manage assigned materials as needed Collaborate with co-instructors and staff to ensure smooth program delivery
Pay & Benefits Compensation:
$19 - $21 per hour, based on experience Paid training with structured lesson plans provided Fixed gas allowance Reimbursement for material storage/holding responsibilities Opportunity for growth into leadership roles and expanded responsibilities Opportunity to work on advanced robotics programs such as
