Beyond the Screen Families is looking for enthusiastic educators to teach engaging, hands-on after-school enrichment classes at elementary schools throughout Orange County. If you love working with children and creating fun, meaningful learning experiences, we'd love to hear from you!
Position Details Position:

Independent Contractor Pay:
$35-$60 per teaching hour (based on experience and/or certifications)
Hours:
Approximately 1.5-7.5 hours per week
Schedule:
Weekday afternoons during after-school hours (typically between 1:30-3:30 PM)
Location:
Elementary school campuses throughout Orange County Curriculum, lesson plans, and materials are provided—you get to focus on what you do best: teaching and inspiring kids. What You'll Do Teach fun, hands-on enrichment classes for elementary-aged students Lead activities in STEAM, science, engineering, art, outdoor learning, and creative exploration Create a positive, engaging classroom environment Adapt lessons and pacing to meet students' needs Build strong relationships with students while maintaining excellent classroom management Communicate professionally with school staff and the Beyond the Screen Families team Qualifications Preferred California teaching credential (or equivalent teaching certification) Classroom teaching or enrichment teaching experience Required Experience working with and leading groups of children Strong classroom management skills Positive, energetic, and dependable Ability to think on your feet and adapt to student needs Reliable transportation to school sites Ability to pass any required background checks Who This Position Is Perfect For Current teachers looking for additional income Retired teachers Substitute teachers Homeschool educators Credentialed professionals who enjoy working with children Experienced youth program leaders Why Join Beyond the Screen Families?
