Job Description

Description Christ the King School is seeking a Junior High Religion, Social Studies, and 6th-grade Homeroom teacher. The candidate must be a well-rounded, energetic, and passionate middle school teacher who is team-oriented and willing to collaborate with others to enhance student learning. This role involves creating and implementing a curriculum that inspires curiosity, encourages critical thinking, and supports academic rigor for all students. The candidate should be a practicing Catholic who is a positive role model. In addition, the candidate will create a rigorous and engaging learning environment that promotes academic achievement, critical thinking, personal responsibility, and spiritual growth. Candidates should be comfortable working with adolescents, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, and implementing engaging, standards-based lessons that prepare students for success in high school.
The successful applicant will:
Plan and deliver effective, engaging lessons across Religion, and Social Studies). Foster a faith-filled classroom environment that integrates Catholic values and teachings Create a positive and respectful classroom environment Integrate technology and multimedia into instruction where appropriate Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom expectations. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, administration, and families to support student success. Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning styles and needs Collaborate with the middle school team of teachers and school administration to support student growth and school-wide initiatives Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and school leadership Requirements The minimum requirements are: Bachelor's degree required; teaching credential preferred. Previous upper elementary/middle school teaching experience preferred Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction Strong skills in setting up routines, behavior expectations, and communication to support student success Salary & Benefits Annual salary range: 49,000 - $60,000 10 personal/sick days Health benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision and additional voluntary benefits. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range.
