Libertas College Prep is a charter middle school in South Los Angeles. The school is founded on the belief that all students, regardless of their previous academic performance, can thrive and be successful in a rigorous, structured, and supportive environment. Libertas College Prep has an intensive focus on literacy and utilizes a nontraditional starting point of 4th grade to ensure that all students receive literacy support through the transition from "learning to read" in third grade to "reading to learn" in fourth grade and beyond. Responsibilities:

Lead rigorous instruction in Mathematics in your classroom Utilize a variety of instructional strategies based on the diverse needs of all the students that engage all students Develop and administer a variety of assessments to measure students' growth towards goals and to monitor students' mastery of the content standards Analyze informal and formal student assessment results and use this information to drive and inform instruction Communicate and collaborate professionally with teammates, parents, and community members Create, monitor, and sustain a disciplined school culture of high academic and behavioral standards Provide structure in the classroom by developing and reinforcing school-wide rules and expectations Ensure smooth operation of all classroom instructional functions

Educational Background and Work Experience:

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred A current Multiple Subject or Single Subject Mathematics teaching credential (internship, preliminary, or clear) or out of state equivalent required English Learner authorization At least two years of urban teaching experience preferred
