Afterschool Instructor (Part-Time) Marin County / Novato, CA | $33-$50 per hour | W-2 Employee About Level UP Enrichment Level UP Enrichment delivers hands-on, high-energy after-school programs to elementary students across California and beyond. From Chess to STEM, Art, Theater, Sports, and more, our mission is simple: create classrooms that are safe, fun, and full of learning. We believe instructors should leave class feeling just as energized as their students. Job Overview Join our Marin County team as an Afterschool Instructor and become a positive force in students' lives. In this role, you will create a structured, joyful environment where elementary students build confidence, think creatively, and grow socially and academically after school. This is a part-time, weekday-afternoon position ideal for experienced educators, coaches, artists, and enrichment specialists who thrive in an interactive classroom setting. Responsibilities Lead engaging enrichment classes for K-5 students in subjects such as Chess, STEM, Art, Theater, Sports, or other specialty programs Maintain a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment Implement strong classroom management using proactive and positive reinforcement strategies Facilitate hands-on activities that promote creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking Support students' social-emotional development through structured group interaction Communicate professionally with site staff and families as needed Complete brief class reports following each session Uphold all Level UP safety standards and school site policies Schedule Monday-Friday afternoons, typically between 1:30 PM and 5:30 PM 3-10 hours per week depending on school assignments Follows the local school-year calendar Additional seasonal opportunities may be available Qualifications Prior experience working with children in after-school programs, camps, tutoring, teaching, coaching, or childcare Strong classroom management skills and confidence leading groups of 10-20 elementary students independently Clear, professional communication skills Reliable transportation to school sites in Marin County / Novato CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain Bachelor's degree or coursework in education, child development, or a related field is a plus Compensation and Benefits $33-$50 per hour based on experience, subject expertise, and classroom leadership ability W-2 employee status Paid sick time in accordance with California law Opportunities for advancement into Lead Instructor or Training roles How to Apply Apply directly through Indeed or contact us at (858) 375-6084 or info@levelupenrichment.com for more information.
