They are expected to follow the daily program schedule, actively supervise students at all times, lead engaging and age-appropriate activities, and build positive relationships with students, families, and staff. Program Leaders maintain professionalism, ensure program policies and safety procedures are followed, and work collaboratively with their Site Coordinator to create a high-quality after-school program. Duties Develop and implement dynamic arts and crafts curricula tailored to various age groups, incorporating elements of painting, sewing, photography, theater, ballet, cooking, and other creative disciplines Lead engaging classroom activities that promote childhood development, early childhood education principles, and preschool experience Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and age-appropriate behavior management techniques Support children's social-emotional growth by fostering a respectful and inclusive environment conducive to learning and creativity Prepare lesson plans that incorporate arts-based projects aligned with educational standards and individual student needs Guide children in developing fine motor skills through sewing, cooking projects, or other hands-on activities Maintain a safe classroom environment by ensuring proper use of art supplies and tools while adhering to safety protocols Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and school staff to monitor progress and tailor activities to meet individual needs Qualifications Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting, including preschool or early childhood education roles Strong background in curriculum development in any subject across arts and sports disciplines such as theater, photography, culinary arts, or dance, soccer, basketball, volley ball. Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage students actively while maintaining discipline Knowledge of behavior management strategies suitable for diverse learners including those with special education needs Demonstrated ability to plan lessons that incorporate creative arts activities fostering childhood development Experience in childcare or preschool environments is highly mandatory Must have high school diploma. 48 college units required if not upturned para educator test is available to take.

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
