Position Overview The Spring Hill School seeks a dynamic, student-centered educator to teach middle school math and science (Grades 5-8). This teacher will inspire curiosity, foster critical thinking, and cultivate a collaborative classroom environment that supports the academic and social-emotional growth of all students. Key Responsibilities Teach science and math to students in Grades 5-8 Design and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that reflect current best practices in education, content knowledge, and adolescent development Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs, interests, and abilities of learners Integrate project-based and experiential learning opportunities that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world connections Foster an inclusive, equitable classroom environment that values diverse perspectives and promotes global awareness Establish a positive, well-managed classroom culture that supports student voice, agency, and belonging Serve as an advisor, supporting students' academic progress, executive functioning, and social-emotional development Use a variety of assessment strategies to inform instruction and provide timely, meaningful feedback to students and families Partner effectively with colleagues and families through clear, consistent, and proactive communication Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development, interdisciplinary learning, and school-wide initiatives Engage in ongoing professional learning and reflect on instructional practices Participate actively in school life, including events, meetings, and community-building activities Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred Teaching credential or equivalent experience in independent schools preferred Demonstrated experience teaching middle school science and/or math in a student-centered environment Strong understanding of inquiry-based, project-based, and differentiated instruction Experience integrating technology to enhance teaching and learning Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in educational practice Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Collaborative mindset with a willingness to contribute to a team-oriented culture Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Experience in advisory or student mentoring preferred Growth-oriented, reflective practitioner with a passion for continuous improvement Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package Supportive, collaborative faculty culture Ongoing professional development and growth opportunities

- 88,000, depending on experience and special training Work Environment and Physical Requirements Required to lift and carry up to a maximum of 25 lbs.
