Our one-room schoolhouse for the 21st century blends Quest-like projects with real-world applications, Socratic discussions, apprenticeships, and the Hero's Journey in a vibrant, multi-age Studio setting. Our Roseville campus was established in 2017 in Roseville for ages TK-12th.
Position Overview:
We're on the hunt for a dynamic Spark Apprentice Guide to join our Spark Studio (ages 4-7) starting this fall. This full-time role involves engaging with Hero's (our term for students) in the Studio, planning, documenting, communicating with parents, and handling administrative tasks.
Your Mission:
As an Apprentice Guide, you will:
Customize Learning:
Facilitate personalized education and character-building experiences in a diverse environment.
Build Foundations:
Guide reading and math skills, setting the stage for self-directed learning.
Create Quests:
Design and launch engaging projects, develop daily challenges, and showcase world-class examples.
Inspire Accountability:
Motivate hero's to deliver their best work and pursue their passions on a Hero's Journey.
Celebrate Achievements:
Organize exhibitions, ceremonies, and celebrations that foster a strong learning community. Lead by
Example:
Be an independent learner and role model.
Spark Discussions:
Facilitate Socratic discussions that challenge and inspire.
Curate Environment:
Set up an inspiring Studio space and incorporate essential materials and lessons.
Track Progress:
Monitor and document each hero's growth and encourage them to create portfolios.
Honor Commitments:
Uphold promises made to learners, parents, and fellow Guides.
Empower Students:
Quickly transition responsibilities to hero's, allowing them to lead themselves.

11-month program with 4-6 week Sessions and 1-2 week light working breaks between Sessions.
